BMW will be the next premium car brand to have a presence in Bonifacio Global City. Asian Carmakers Corporation, the Philippine distributor of the German automaker, today formally broke ground at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 27th Street for a 23-story building which the company hopes to be fully erect by the end of 2015.
"We are proud to announce the establishment of BMW Bonifacio Global City through this ground-breaking event," said ACC president Maricar Parco. "This is a testament to BMW's continued leadership, our pioneering innovation in the automotive industry, and our strengthened confidence in the growing Filipino car market."
According to ACC, BMW Bonifacio Global City will sit on an almost 2,000sqm area that is "capable of holding as many as 20 cars and different service facilities to deliver heightened customer experience providing utmost quality of service that is proudly BMW."
While the ground floor will serve as a BMW showroom, the entire building is also expected to house other offices within the Alvarez Group of companies, including the local distributors of Kia and Peugeot. Prestige Cars BMW on Chino Roces Avenue Extension will be retained since body-and-paint work is not allowed in BGC.
BMW Bonifacio Global City will also include a BMW Lifestyle Section, which aims to "provide brand enthusiasts an extensive selection of BMW lifestyle products ranging from clothing and novelty items to accessories and sports merchandise."
There will also be the Isetta Bar, "inspired by BMW’s iconic micro-car from the 1950s, which will give guests the option to enjoy their visit via a leisure lounge complete with a refreshment bar."
ACC boasts that "all facets and details in the showroom--from visual displays and illumination design, to each piece of furniture--are meticulously handpicked by the BMW team to ensure that customers will relish nothing less than world-class experience every time they visit the showroom."
Best of all, Parco revealed that BMW Bonifacio Global City's structure will be environment-friendly, "envisioned to attain LEED Certification, an internationally recognized green building program that evaluates environmental systems in infrastructures. Different features to reduce energy consumption are harmoniously integrated into the building's design encouraging eco-friendly activities and minimizing the company's carbon footprint."
ACC's ninth BMW showroom in the country cements BGC's status as a premium automotive hub in the Philippines, also hosting other high-end car marques such as Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, Audi, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce.
