BYD Philippines—not to be confused with BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility—has officially announced that the Denza brand will enter the local market sometime in the first quarter of 2026.
As an official subsidiary of the BYD Group, Denza Philippines will operate directly under the Chinese carmaker. The brand’s first dealerships are set to open in Alabang, Greenhills, and Cebu.

For the uninitiated, Denza is positioned as the premium arm of BYD. Its flagship vehicle, the Denza D9, is offered as a fully electric alternative against the likes of the Lexus LM and the Toyota Alphard. Previous iterations of the D9 utilized BYD’s DM-i range-extended powertrain, standing as a more luxurious version of the eMax 9 DM-i. Interestingly, that version received homologation papers from the Land Transportation Office in 2025, but it looks like the D9 EV will be making its way to the country.

Built around the DiSus and e3 platform, the D9 is advertised to deliver exceptional ride comfort and a capable drive. Current specs have it rated for 580km on a full charge, with 369hp and 470Nm of torque coming from its dual-motor AWD system.

While there is no date set for the brand’s debut, BYD and Denza Philippines country head Adam Hu is eager to shake up the luxury vehicle market: “The future of premium mobility isn’t defined by excess—it’s defined by intelligence.
“Nowadays, it is technology that truly drives elegance. And at Denza, we see new
energy vehicles as an opportunity to rethink how power, comfort, and sustainability can
work together in a more thoughtful, human way.”
