This Labor Day, Foodpanda is showing its partner riders extra appreciation by doubling the tips they receive in-app. Whenever customers add a tip to their order, Foodpanda will match it, effectively giving the rider twice the original amount.
Partner riders receive 100% of in-app tips, with no deductions or commissions. Foodpanda describes the initiative as extra appreciation for the backbone of the Filipino digital economy.


“Our partner riders are the backbone of our business, and on Labor Day, we want their rewards to reflect their resilience,” said Patricia Jacinto, growth and marketing director of Foodpanda Philippines. “By doubling tips, we are joining forces with our customers to ensure that every Ka-Panda feels the full weight of the country’s gratitude.”

The initiative is part of the Panda-Malasakit Project, a campaign to provide support for partner riders, businesses, and customers amid rising costs of fuel and essentials. Besides this tip-matching effort for Labor Day, the project also includes other on-ground initiatives that support different stakeholders.
Foodpanda has stated that they plan to roll out more initiatives like this in the future as they remain committed to supporting their community and business partners.
