The name Shangri-La is often associated with a certain level of style and luxury. True to its reputation, the hotel chain has just formally welcomed some new cars from Volkswagen Philippines to upgrade its existing fleet at its Mactan location.
The purchase of the new Jettas was arranged through Nissan Car Lease Philippines (NCLP). The turnover took place at the Mactan hotel and was overseen by Volkswagen Cebu branch manager Ren Dumaraos, NCLP president Louie Banson, and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa general manager Renè D. Egle.
Shangri-La's 13-hectare Mactan spot received its five-star rating from the Department of Tourism just last October. It's the only resort with that kind of rating in Cebu. It's been called one of the top resorts in Asia and the world by Conde Nast Traveler.
So if you're ever in Mactan and you're what the folks at Volkswagen call a 'discerning guest,' you can opt to be driven around in a brand-new Jetta. It's not a bad way to get around the island.
