We know which vehicle will win the 2013-2014 PH Car of the Year award

The Car Awards Group Inc., which is composed of members of the Philippine motoring media (including a few Top Gear Philippines editors and writers), is set to reveal the category and overall winners of its 2013-2014 Philippine Car and Truck of the Year awards tomorrow night at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Of course, the list of winners is a tightly guarded secret, but we think we already know which vehicle will bag the Car of the Year trophy. You see, we\'ve talked with several CAGI officers, and the buzz is that the Mazda 6 will drive away with the award.

According to said CAGI officials, the 6 earned the coveted award because it presented the most number of innovations for its class, and was also the most bang-for-the-buck offering in the market.

This will mark the first time that CAGI\'s Car of the Year awardee is the same as that of Top Gear Philippines. Last year, CAGI gave the distinction to the Mitsubishi Mirage after we had crowned the Toyota 86 with our version of the award.

If you\'re attending tomorrow\'s awarding ceremony and feel like the suspense is already gone, be reminded that there is still the Truck of the Year award to be revealed, not to mention the category winners.
