Isuzu donates to Japan

Isuzu Philippines Corporation has donated via the Philippine National Red Cross a check worth P2.5 million to victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

The donation was made through the initiatives of Isuzu dealers who were supposed to visit China in June as an incentive for their sales performance in 2010.

"The trip would have included around 40 delegates from Isuzu Cagayan De Oro, Isuzu Makati and Isuzu Batangas, among others," Isuzu Philippines said. "Instead, through the initiative of the winning dealers themselves, IPC decided to donate the money amounting to P2.5 million to the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan."

The check was turned over by Isuzu Philippines president Ryoji Yamazaki and executive vice president Yuki Kato to Philippine National Red Cross chairman Richard Gordon on March 17.
