TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Lamborghini produces 1,000th Aventador

Automobili Lamborghini recently marked a milestone when the Italian carmaker produced the 1,000th Aventador LP 700-4. Its owner, Hans Scheidecker, received the keys to his brand-new car from the company's president and chief executive, Stephan Winkelmann.

According to Lamborghini, the productivity of its Sant'Agata Bolognese plant has noticeably increased for the Aventador, taking just a year and three months from the start of its production to reach the 1,000th-unit milestone. By comparison, the car's predecessor, the Murcielago, took two years and five months from its launch at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show before the 1,000th example rolled off the assembly line in February 2004.

The carmaker added that orders for the Aventador will continue to cover the next 18 months of the plant's production.
