While the world is waiting for Lamborghini to roll out the Murciélago's successor, the Italian carmaker has to decided to make another special-edition variant out of what is currently its sole model.
The Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore is exclusively for the European and Asia-Pacific markets. As its name implies, the Bicolore features an exclusive two-tone finish with is also applied to the interior.
From the window-line upwards--including the pillars, roof, engine hood and rear spoiler--the Bicolore is finished in Noctis Black while its body is available in five colors: Giallo Midas, Arancio Borealis, Grigio Telesto, Bianco Monocerus and Blu Caelum. The combination gives the Bicolore an aggressive personality, making it look like it sits lower and wider to the ground. Completing the Bicolore’s exterior enhancements are its Skorpius forged aluminum-alloy rims finished in titanium gray enamel and the high-gloss black finish applied to the air intakes, front spoiler and the upper section of the rear diffuser.
The Bicolore's cockpit also has the same two-tone finish, with the instrument panel, seats, door panels and other elements upholstered in Nero Persus leather while the stitching is colored to match the exterior paintwork: yellow, orange, blue and gray (which is also used on the Bianco Monocerus version). The bezel of the e-gear transmission on the center console is also finished in Nero Noctis to match the Bicolore’s upper exterior.
Powering the Bicolore is a 5.2-liter, 560hp V10 engine that enables it to run from zero to 100kph in 3.7 seconds before attaining a top speed of 325kph. To showcase this engineering marvel, it is displayed under tempered glass provides to give everyone a chance to view the Bicolore’s heart.
