After months of keeping us waiting, Hyundai Asia Resources (HARI) has finally unveiled the all-new Elantra compact sedan that is currently getting a lot of attention at the 7th Manila International Auto Show.
While the unit on display is just a show car, HARI said the all-new Elantra that will be eventually be sold in the Philippines will come in two variants: the 1.8-liter nu MPI engine with automatic transmission that delivers 150ps at 6,500rpm and 178Nm of torque at 4,700rpm; and the manual-transmission-equipped 1.6-liter Gamma MPI engine that puts out 130ps at 6,300rpm with 157Nm of torque.
The Hyundai Elantra will not be available until June. But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. And if you do wait for the fifth-generation Hyundai Elantra, you might be in for a treat as HARI is looking to price the range-topping variant "at less than P900,000."
Is that deal good enough for you?
