In recent years, we have witnessed both the emergence and the completion of several infrastructure projects across the country. Today, we receive more great news as the construction of a bridge that will soon connect two major cities in Metro Manila has begun.

Property developer Ortigas & Company, together with the Pasig City local government, led the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Circulo Verde Bridge earlier this month. The bridge, which will serve as a link between Pasig City and Quezon City, is expected to alleviate traffic in the surrounding areas, specifically in Libis and Manggahan.

The four-lane bridge will span 130 meters long and 19.2 meters wide, and will have provisions for dedicated bicycle and pedestrian lanes. The project is expected to be completed during the latter half of 2020.

“We are excited and proud with the construction of the Circulo Verde Bridge, made possible through the support of the local city government of Pasig,” says Ortigas & Company president and chief executive officer Jaime Ysmael. “The bridge will provide a convenient and accessible connection between Pasig City and our mixed-use estate, Circulo Verde, and vice versa. It will help ease traffic and greatly benefit the communities within and around Circulo Verde and Manggahan.

“With pedestrian and bike lanes integrated into the design, the Circulo Verde Bridge will be true to Circulo Verde’s promise of an active lifestyle for all its residents.”

This new project looks promising, if you ask us. What do you guys think?
