With the Department of Public Works and Highways undertaking the much-needed rehabilitation of the Manila North Road--particularly from the Tarlac-Pangasinan boundary in Rosales, Pangasinan, to the Pangasinan-La Union section in Sison, also in Pangasinan--from December 27 to January 6, the agency has issued the following alternate routes that motorists are advised to use during the peak hours from 7am to 9am and from 4pm to 7pm.
* Carmen-Rosales-Santa Maria-Asingan-Binalonan (Magilas Trail);
* Urdaneta-Manaoag-San Jacinto-San Fabian-Damortis Junction, La Union (for light vehicles only);
* Binalonan-Laoac-Manaoag-San Jacinto-San Fabian-Damortis Junction, La Union (for light vehicles only); and
* Manila North Road Junction-Guiling-Rosales Poblacion (provincial road, except long articulated trucks)
So, if you're headed up to the provinces in northern Luzon this weekend, you've been warned.
