Here’s some good news for those planning to stay in Manila for the holidays: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced the suspension of number coding for the entirety of next week.

In a Facebook post shared earlier today, the traffic agency confirmed that the number-coding scheme will not be in effect on December 26, 27, and 28. This is in addition to the automatic suspension on December 24, 25, and 31, which are declared holidays.

“Advisory: Awtomatikong suspendido ang number-coding scheme sa December 24, 25, at 31 na idineklarang holidays,” the MMDA said in its post. “Suspendido na rin ito sa mga araw ng December 26, 27, at 28 para sa mas maginhawang byahe ng lahat. Planuhin na ang inyong mga lakad ngayong Kapaskuhan.”
