Aug 8, 2014 Philippine Car News - MMDA releases alternate routes for Magallanes flyover closure

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has released alternate routes for motorists who will be affected by the closure of the Magallanes flyover's southbound lane from Manila going to Alabang.

Motorists coming from Manila and going to Cubao are advised to take the service road, turn right toward Magallanes Village on San Gregorio Street, turn right again on Lapu-Lapu Avenue, left on Victoria Street, and then right on Magallanes Avenue to get to EDSA. From EDSA, they can then take the northbound ramp of the Magallanes flyover to go to Cubao.

Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Roxas Boulevard may turn left at the corner of EDSA and Taft Avenue, which will be open to vehicles turning left from August 9 to August 17.

The agency also released a map to allay the fears of Alabang-bound motorists who will be coming from EDSA, showing that only the on-ramp from Osmeña Highway going onto the Magallanes Interchange will be closed.
