Over the holidays, there were some important updates regarding the Skyway Stage 3: the Quirino Avenue Southbound On-ramp was officially opened to the public.

Prior to this, the Quirino Avenue Interchange was only for vehicles entering the northbound segment or exiting towards the southbound portion. Now, motorists headed southbound towards Skyway and South Luzon Expressway can access those tollways via this new entry point.

Motorists can access the southbound entry via the same ramp used to get to the northbound portion. This is located on Quirino Avenue, past Taft Avenue and just before the Osmeña Highway intersection. Drive up towards the ramp and keep to the right—there are ample signage along the way, so you won’t miss the entry.

This interchange will prove useful for motorists in Manila City who usually drive southbound. Before the Quirino Avenue southbound on-ramp was opened, they would have to access Skyway via the Nagtahan southbound entry on Skyway Stage 3 or the Buendia southbound Skyway on-ramp near Farady Street in Makati City.

Usage of the newly opened Quirino Avenue southbound entry will incur a P105 toll fee, which is the minimum amount Skyway Stage 3 currently charges. Who among you will be able to use this new interchange? Share your thoughts in the comments.
