Traffic advisory: Road closure and rerouting on March 28

Thank God it's payday Friday tomorrow! But be warned, Metro Manila motorists: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has posted via its Facebook page an advisory on road closure and traffic rerouting tomorrow, March 28, for Iglesia Ni Cristo's "Lingap Pamamahayag." According to the post, road closure along eastbound Commonwealth happens from 12:01am to 10:00pm. Here are the rerouting schemes:

1. Northbound (from Philcoa to Fairview or San Mateo)

* From Philcoa to Fairview: The entry point of counterflow will be at the island breaker in front of Meralco Commonwealth; take the inner lane (two or three lanes) of the west side of Commonwealth Avenue going to Fairview. The end and exit point of counterflow will be at the island breaker in front of Don Fabian Street. Motorists may turn right on IBP Road going to Commonwealth Avenue.

* From Philcoa to San Mateo: Vehicle flow will remain the same.

* From Philcoa to Bagong Silangan: Vehicle flow will remain the same.

* From Philcoa to Payatas: Turn right on IBP Road and then right on Payatas Road.

2. Southbound (from Fairview to Philcoa or San Mateo)

* From Fairview to Philcoa: Motorists shall occupy the outer lanes (two or three lanes) from the exit point of counterflow at the U-turn slot in front of Don Fabian Street.

* From Fairview to San Mateo: Take the U-turn slot in front of St. Peter Church then left on IBP Road.

3. From Bagong Silangan to Fairview or Philcoa

* From Bagong Silangan to Philcoa: Turn left on IBP Road going to underpass en route to Commonwealth Avenue.

* From Bagong Silangan to Fairview: Turn right on IBP Road going to Litex-Commonwealth Avenue.

4. From Payatas to Fairview or Philcoa or San Mateo

* From Payatas to Fairview: Turn right on Commonwealth Avenue.

* From Payatas to Philcoa: Turn left on IBP Road to underpass en route to Commonwealth Avenue.
