Aggressive expansion for the Philippines' second strongest brand

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - New Mitsubishi ShowroomDriven by positive prospects in the local automotive market, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) continues its aggressive expansion in the country with the opening of new showrooms.

Peak Motors, which is located at the Manila Bay area, opened this month while the new Diamond Motor Corp. in EDSA is scheduled to start operations in November. The EDSA showroom will replace the old Diamond Motor facility located in Greenhills.

"MMPC expects to sustain its robust performance in the next three to five years given the renewed market confidence, aggressiveness of its business partners and Mitsubishi Motors' exciting vehicle line up for the medium term," the carmaker said.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines currently has 45 showrooms and 19 dealers nationwide.

Mitsubishi is the second leading car brand in the Philippines, with total year-to-date sales reaching 23,998 units representing a 19 percent market share. Its bestsellers include the Montero Sport, Lancer and Strada.
