Number coding scheme suspended on July 26

Considering the volume of vehicles in Metro Manila, is this good news or bad?

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA)has announced the suspension of the number coding scheme on July 26, the day newly-elected President Benigno Aquino III is set to deliver his first State of the Nation Address.

MMDA chairman Oscar Inocentes said suspending the number coding scheme would allow more people to travel to Quezon City and listen to the historic speech, the Inquirer reported.

While that may all be well and good, do you think a speech that would last about an hour would be worth the hassle of having an all-day traffic jam with loads of cars on the road?
