Nov 23, 2009

Oil companies raised prices for a second time after government lifted the price freeze on fuel last week.

Eastern Petroleum, Flying V, and Pilipinas Shell raised prices by P1.50 a liter at 12:01 a.m. on November 24.

Chevron Philippines (formerly known as Caltex), Petron, and Total Philippines implemented the same fuel price hike at 6 a.m.

Oil firms said the adjustment reflects the movement of oil prices in the world market.
