The Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI), the award-giving body made up of motoring journalists, recently concluded its qualitative tests for the contenders in the 2012-13 Car of the Year-Philippines.
Using the Eton Centris in Quezon City as its staging ground, CAGI tested around 80 brand-new models and variants introduced to the local market between October 2011 and October 2012 on three preselected routes. Using a standard score sheet, CAGI members rated everything about the vehicles--from how it performs dynamically to how comfortable the rear seats are.
Later this month, CAGI will conduct the rigorous technical tests for all the vehicles at the Clark International Speedway.
