Since the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has given the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) the go signal to repair and rehabilitate the Osmeña Flyover, the department shall get started on it this weekend by closing its northbound lane to traffic.
No need to worry though as the DPWH will close it at 9PM on May 6.
To decongest the expected traffic in the area while the repair and rehabilitation is ongoing, the southbound lane of the Osmeña Flyover will remain open as a two-way lane. Motorists are also advised to use the at-grade road section along the Osmeña Highway or to take alternate routes like EDSA (from Magallanes Interchange to Roxas Boulevard) and Roxas Boulevard (from P. Burgos Street/Luneta to EDSA).
Do you think the DPWH and its contractor will finish the project within 90 calendar days as they hope?
