TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Mitsubishi ASX at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has publicly unveiled its most-awaited model of the year at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show: the ASX crossover vehicle.

The ASX bridges the gap between Mitsubishi’s passenger cars and its rugged off-roaders as it answers consumers’ demand for a roomy yet fuel-efficient vehicle that provides both excellent driving pleasure and enhanced safety.

Despite its SUV-like size and stance, the ASX ably carries Mitsubishi’s “jet fighter grille” as it keeps in line with the Japanese carmaker’s sporty design identity. HID headlamps allow the ASX to throw out a 160-degree wide beam of light to illuminate the path ahead while chrome-bezeled foglamps give it a look that’s both luxurious and aggressive.

The new Mitsubishi ASX is available in three variants: GLS SE CVT 6-speed Sportronic (4WD) at P1.498 million, GLS CVT 6-speed Sportronic (2WD) at  P1.225 million, and the GLX MT 5-speed Manual (2WD): P1.145 million.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines president and chief executive Masahiko Ueki earlier told TopGear.com.ph that the company expects to sell 100 units of the ASX each month.
