After months of teasing the local motoring public with the life-size Fiesta toy box and giving away countless of 1:18 scale models, Ford Group Philippines has finally revealed the Fiesta subcompact to local motorists during the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show.

Ford’s “Kinetic Design” styling is evident on the Fiesta from the sweeping, elongated headlamps to the low roof line and rear mounted spoiler that tapers off to the beveled tail lamps and its honeycomb detailing on the hatchback model.

The design philosophy is also seen in the interior particularly on the center stack as its look was inspired by the keypads on mobile phones and other handheld electronic devices.

The Fiesta is available with 1.6-liter engine in manual and automatic transmissions, while the 1.4-liter engine comes only with manual transmission. Made at the new $500-million passenger car facility of AutoAlliance Thailand, the Fiesta is available in six variants with the three lower-end 1.4-liter powered units churning out 94 horsepower and 126 Newton meters of torque. The three higher-end 1.6-liter units, meanwhile, put out 119hp and 151Nm of torque.
