After PNP-HPG nab Korean using one along EDSA

Think authorities have forgotten about Pres. Benigno Simeon Aquino III's anti-wang-wang campaign? Think again.

Police authorities have apprehended a South Korean man after he was seen by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo using a private vehicle equipped with a siren along EDSA in Mandaluyong City on June 12.

Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina, director of the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group identified the South Korean as Oh Hoon Kwon, a resident of Phoenix Heights Condominium in Bagong Ilog, Pasig City.

Reports said that Oh Hoon Kwon was on board a black Hyundai Starex van with license plate no. PID-961 when he was apprehended by the PNP-HPG National Capital Region under Senior Supt. Felix Castillo for illegal use of sirens.

Reports added that the Korean immediately surrendered the illegal gadget to police authorities. He was charged for violating Presidential Decree 96.
