From the current rate of P5, drivers will be shelling out P8 for the five- to seven-kilometer stretch, major dailies reported.
Reports said the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) is implementing the hike despite requests of reconsideration from the city governments of Parañaque and Las Piñas.
This is the second toll fee increase implemented by the TRB on the Coastal Road this year. On January 1, the regulator adjusted toll fees on the whole stretch of the expressway by as much as 22 percent to P22 for light vehicles and cars, P43 for light trucks and buses, and P65 for heavy trucks.
