Royal couple takes first joyride in Aston Martin DB6 Volante

As you know, the whole planet nearly screeched to a halt yesterday as an estimated two billion people watched the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on both television and the Internet. The world feasted on the regal images--from the majestic bridal gown to the sweet balcony kiss. Car enthusiasts, however, had an additional treat: the car ride from Buckingham Palace to Clarence House, in which the prince drove his new bride aboard an Aston Martin DB6 Volante generously lent by his father Prince Charles.

Interestingly, the convertible sported a vanity plate at the back that read, JU5T WED. Here’s wishing the newlyweds a truly happy-ever-after marriage.
