Thinking of going on a road trip in the Visayas towards the end of the year? Make sure you don't miss passing by the country's tallest bridge.
The Agas-agas bridge in Sogod, Southern Leyte will be completed by August, the Manila Bulletin reported.
According to the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Agas-agas bridge - standing 85 meters tall - has the highest deck elevation in the country.
The report said Agas-agas, which measures 300 meters in length, also has the "longest pre-stressed concrete box girder span without stay cable."
The bridge will also have a viewing deck on both sides for passers-by who want to take a break in driving while appreciating nature's beauty.
"This could also be used in the future for bungee jumping," DPWH undersecretary Rafael Yabut was quoted saying in the report.
