The Philippine filming for The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment of the Jason Bourne film franchise, has started and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced the location of the film shoot and the alternative routes motorists need to take.
From today until January 13, 5am to 6pm, the MMDA will close off a portion of Leveriza Street and the stretch of Quirino Avenue between Taft Avenue and M. Adriatico Street.
Northbound motorists on Quirino Avenue coming from Roxas Boulevard and going to Taft Avenue are advised to turn right at M. Adriatico, turn left at Bagong Lipunan and then right at Quirino Avenue to get to their destination.
Southbound motorists who are coming from Taft Avenue and heading toward Roxas Boulevard are advised to take San Andres Street, make a right turn at L. M. Guerrero, turn left again at Remedios, take another left at Maria Orosa, turn right at San Andres, make a left turn at M. Adriatico before finally turning right at Quirino Avenue to reach their destination.
On January 14, filming will take place along San Andres and Leveriza Streets from 12am to 6am and 5pm to 12 midnight, respectively.
Motorists on Taft Avenue and headed toward Roxas Boulevard through San Andres are advised to turn right at Remedios, take a left at Maria Orosa and then right at San Andres to get to their destination.
Those coming from the South Superhighway through Quirino Avenue and on their way to Roxas Boulevard through San Andres are advised to turn right at Leon Guinto, take a left at Remedios, cross Taft Avenue and proceed toward Maria Orosa, make a left before turning right at San Andres to reach their destination.
On January 15, the Bourne Legacy production crew will once again take over Quirino Avenue from 12am to 5pm and Leveriza Street from 5pm to 12am.
Motorists from Taft Avenue and Quirino Avenue who are headed toward Roxas Boulvard are advised to turn right at San Andres, make a left turn at M. Adriatico Street, before turning right on Quirino Avenue to reach their destination.
Those on Quirino Avenue coming from Roxas Boulevard and headed toward Taft Avenue or the South Superhighway are advised to turn right at M. Adriatico, take a left at Vito Cruz and another left at Taft Avenue to get to the Quirino Avenue-Taft Avenue intersection.
According to the MMDA, traffic enforcers will be deployed along the designated alternate routes to assist motorists.
