Chrysler has rolled out and presented the first SRT Viper to come out of its newly refurbished assembly plant to customer Scott Thomas, with Chrysler Group chairman and chief executive Sergio Marchionne and SRT brand president and chief executive Ralph Gilles joining him in the turnover ceremony.

Thomas purchased the first unit of the fifth-generation Viper at the Barrett-Jackson Orange County California Auction in June 2012 for $300,000, with the proceeds going to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.

The all-new Viper is propelled by an all-aluminum, mid-front 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 640hp and 813Nm of torque. Its production began in December 2012, with the units scheduled to be delivered to buyers starting next month.
