Suzuki Philippines has just inaugurated Suzuki Auto Makati, which now has the distinction of being the Japanese brand's first integrated dealership in the country. In short, Suzuki Auto Makati is the very first dealership to sell the company's automobiles and motorcycles under one roof.
"Suzuki Auto Makati embodies our distinctive edge as the country's sole integrated automobile and motorcycle company," said Suzuki Philippines president Satoshi Uchida. "Suzuki is the only company that offers to put motorcycles and automobiles on the same stage. This is our answer to the increasingly diverse mobility needs of Filipinos."
BMW is actually the first automotive brand to put cars and motorcycles in the same showroom (BMW Autohaus in Libis), but Suzuki is the first mass-market car brand to do so.
Located at the corner of Bautista and Finlandia Streets in San Isidro, Makati City, the approximately 1,400sqm Suzuki Auto Makati is a sales, service and spare-parts shop for the brand's cars and motorcycles. Though the showroom will display both types of vehicles, the service area is divided between cars and motorcycles, with five work bays being allotted for four-wheeled vehicles and one work area for their two-wheeled counterparts.
The dealership is also operated by a second-generation Suzuki dealer who cut his teeth--literally and figuratively--riding on the brand's motorcycles and running one of his family's dealerships. Today, Reynaldo Odulio Jr. is stepping out of his parents' shadows by opening the country's first integrated Suzuki dealership.
"We are confident in the care that Suzuki gives its network of dealers and are proud that we are bringing a whole range of the Suzuki Way of Life to our customers," said Odulio.
