Top Gear Live's stunt team has done the impossible by completing the world's first double loop-the-loop stunt on four wheels.

The stunt was the finale to the first of four Top Gear Festival shows staged in front of more than 15,000 people that filled the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa, on June 16.

Called the "Deadly 720," the stunt was achieved using a specially converted buggy fitted with hand controls that would lock out the accelerator pedal during the stunt as the extreme g-forces experienced would reportedly force the driver's foot onto the throttle, which would result in a near-certain crash.

Watch the video, featuring in-car footage, to see how the stunt was done.
