Inchcape Philippines has just debuted the all-new Changan Eado Plus, a compact sedan that aims to set “the new standard of everyday driving.” The Eado Plus enters the Philippines as one of the best-selling nameplates in China, vending around 168,000 units in 2025. This feat propelled Changan to become the top gasoline-sedan brand in its domestic market, effectively setting up its new sedan for global success.

In the local market, the Eago Plus is offered in two flavors: Lite and Luxe. Both are powered with Changan’s 1.5-liter Bluecore Gasoline engine, which is rated for a healthy 105hp and 145Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

Looks-wise, Changan has designed its new vehicle with a three-dimensional grille and halogen projector headlights for a sporty yet elegant impression. Its stance is further complemented by body lines that run throughout the Eado Plus’ shell, seamlessly flowing to the winged taillights around back. The entire frame sits on 16-inch wheels, with varying finishes between the Lite and the Luxe variants.

Those who opt for the entry-level Lite trim will get steelies, along with a seven-inch infotainment display on the inside. The system features Bluetooth and USB connectivity, which outputs audio to a two-speaker setup.

The higher-end Luxe gets alloy wheels, a larger 10-inch main screen, and four speakers for audio. The infotainment on the Eado Plus Luxe gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. At the same time, passengers in the second row can stay charged with the other USB-A port behind the center console. Additional creature comforts include a reversing camera, an electronic parking brake, and a remote engine start function.

Safety, however, is consistent across all variants. The Eado Plus comes standard with airbags for the driver and passenger, rear parking sensors, hill hold and start assists, ISOFIX tethers, a spare tire, and much more. Comfort, as well, has not been compromised as all trims are outfitted with soft black-fabric seats with a wide array of manual adjustment settings. The air-conditioning system also has a PM2.5-grade air filter for added cleanliness and protection.

And even with all these niceties on deck, Changan has positioned its new sedan to be highly competitive. Prices for the Eado Plus Lite currently start at just P699,000, while the Luxe stickers for P749,999. These special introductory offerings are available until April 30, 2026. After then, the Eado Plus will be priced at P750,000 for the Lite, and P799,999 for the Luxe.
