NAME: Jasper Perez RIDE: 1976 Mitsubishi Colt Galant (four-door) WHAT'S THE STORY? "It is my parent's first car, and I stole it from my mom," says Jasper. It also caught fire when he decided to fill up with aviation fuel one day. COOL DETAILS The 4G32 engine is running a racing cam 5 and a single-side Solex carburetor (40mm). "'Yung sounds nya maganda, pero kulang pa ng big valves," says Jasper. After Ondoy, a lot of things had to be replaced. FUTURE PLANS "I want another car so that I can finish this project. Everything is really fragile right now. I want to replace the transmission into a five-speed and change the differential." WHY OLD SCHOOL? "It has the character!" Photos by Enrico Subido
