In the fiercely competitive subcompact crossover class, one has to stand out. The bare minimum is no longer enough, and the ordinary will be pushed aside and lost in the crowd.

But the first-ever Mitsubishi XForce is far from that. Available in two variants—GLS and GT—it features a sharp, dynamic design inside and out. Along with its distinct features, the XForce is most definitely a force to be reckoned with in its class.

From city streets to the great outdoors, the XForce is a standout in any setting. The unique front-end design represents Mitsubishi’s daring direction, proving that small crossovers don’t all have to look alike. The Dynamic Shield design is bold and distinct, with its T-shaped headlights and tail lights slicing away the darkness in its special and unique way.

It’s not “all style and no substance” with the XForce. The purposeful look brings with it a wide tailgate opening for easy access, while the hands-free power tailgate in the top-spec GT brings a new level of convenience. 193mm of ground clearance then gives you more confidence when flood levels get higher.

Smart touches are abound inside the Mitsubishi XForce. The 12.3-inch touchscreen houses everything one expects from a modern SUV. It’s equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, as well as a multitude of USB ports to keep everyone connected and charged up on the go. On top of that, the customizable screen can show a wide variety of information, from aircraft-style displays to steering inputs and inclinometers.

Regardless of the variant chosen, the Mitsubishi XForce is a delight for audiophiles. Featuring a Yamaha Dynamic Sound System, it boasts eight speakers and clear audio quality that’s hard to beat in its class.

Its dual-zone automatic climate control has nanoe™ X technology to ensure good air quality for all passengers. The standard rear air-conditioning vents then keep those in the back cool at all times. Opt for the GT and it gains Heat Guard seats. No more singed thighs after parking under the sun. Extra passengers are assured comfort, too, with the eight-step reclining rear seats.

The Mitsubishi XForce GT comes standard with advanced driver assist systems. It bundles intelligent safety features all in one package. It includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, auto high beam, and lead car departure notification.

Motivating the XForce is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder MIVEC engine. It produces 105hp and 141Nm of torque, providing a blend of performance and efficiency. Its continuously variable transmission then ekes out even more range out of its economical engine.

But that’s not all there is to talk about the powertrain. The XForce is the only SUV in its class to offer as many as four driving modes. It includes Road, Gravel, Mud, and Wet, ensuring surefooted handling no matter the conditions. Add in Mitsubishi’s signature Active Yaw Control and the XForce can make every drive a dynamic and thrilling adventure.
