1) IFR Aspid Supersport
Taking its name from a snake and its styling inspiration from A Bug’s Life (we’d guess), the Honda S2000-engined Aspid was brought to market in 2008 by former Prodrive and Mitsubishi rally engineer Ignacio Fernandez Rodriguez.
2) Hurtan Grand Albaycin
The Grand Albaycin looks a bit like a 1930s sports car—if you really squint—and is named after the oldest district of Hurtan’s home city. And yet, there is nothing retro about it at all. In fact, it’s a modern Mazda MX-5 underneath.

3) Tauro V8 Spider
GM may have killed off the Pontiac brand in the late 2000s, but a group of Spanish businessmen gave the Solstice a second life when it introduced the V8 Spider on the Kappa platform in 2012. Unlike the Pontiac, and as per the name, the Spider was fitted with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8.
4) Spania GTA Spano
Fitted with a supercharged version of the Dodge Viper’s V10, the GTA Spano burst onto the scene in 2009. A production spec version was shown off in 2013, and the engine had been twin turbocharged for over 900hp. It’s unclear how many were built, though.
5) Hispano-Suiza Dubonnet Xenia
Alongside Duesenberg, Packard, and Delage, Hispano-Suiza is a darling of the concours world. Its 1938 Dubonnet Xenia featured an 8.0-liter straight-six and bonkers bodywork by aerodynamicist Jean Édouard Andreau.
6) Baltasar Revolt
Unveiled back in 2021, the Revolt is a lightweight two-seater speedster with a carbon body and 500hp sent to the rear wheels. Oh yeah, and it’s electric. An even racier Revolt R with a massive rear wing was shown off in 2025—but have any customers received them?
7) Pegaso Z-102 Cúpula
Despite its parent company being a builder of trucks and buses, with some help from the world’s great coachbuilders Pegaso produced some of the prettiest sports cars of all time throughout the ’50s. Best of all must be the UFO-inspired, V8-engined Cúpula.
8) Tramontana R
A tin-topped variant of the speedster-style original Tramontana, the R was unveiled in 2009 as a sort of open-wheel hypercar featuring a fighter jet-style seating layout and Merc’s 5.5-liter V12 mounted midship.
9) Seat Cupra GT
This list had to include a Seat, but who remembers the striking Cupra GT concept? Making its debut at the Barcelona Motor Show in 2003, it went on to be a real thing, with Seat’s sporting division turning it into a twin-turbo Audi V6-engined racecar for the Spanish GT Championship.
