The eighth season of Drive to Survive will drop on February 27 and is expected to be as dramatic as ever. In anticipation, Netflix recently released a first-look teaser that immediately set the tone for the upcoming episodes.
The video opens at the final laps of the Canadian Grand Prix, where—yes, you know where this is going—Lando Norris collided with teammate Oscar Piastri. It was a tense moment then, but Netflix upped the ante with somber voiceovers and stylistic editing—the classic DTS formula.

We could watch a whole documentary on Lando’s championship run, but there are many more storylines to look out for. Last season, there were six rookies on track, along with several seasoned veterans on new teams.

Key among all of them was Lewis Hamilton debuting with Ferrari, and the consistent shuffling of Red Bull’s second seat. Not to mention George Russell showing out as a first-seat driver and the promising start to Kimi Antonelli’s Formula 1 career.

Other previous trailers have revealed pieces of these narratives, but it looks like McLaren will be the focal point of the whole season. And this is expected after Lando and Oscar also took podium positions at several races.
Are you excited for DTS? We will definitely be tuning in on Friday.
