They’re like buses, aren’t they, GTA 6 news articles. You wait 15 months, and then a delay announcement, a new video, and an absolute horde of screenshots all turn up within a week. (Cards on the table, it’s been a while since we took the bus.)
Among the incredible volume of fresh imagery for Rockstar’s open-world crime sim, which is now due to release on May 26, 2026 after Rockstar announced its delay, there are high-detail shots of some new characters who’ll play a role in Jason and Lucia’s touching, sensitive, and not-at-all-doomed love story.

Alongside some stunning shots of Vice City are our first looks at new locations, including Mount Kalaga National Park where we’re already certain we’ll be spending a lot of time racing off-road vehicles, the shady Port Gellhorn district, and the picturesque Leonida Keys where you absolutely should not feed the alligators.
While it’s very exciting to finally see more details after that long wait since the reveal trailer, GTA 6 still hasn’t shown any gameplay yet. The second trailer sets the scene in a bit more detail, though, establishing a love story starring who we assume to be the two playable characters, Lucia and Jason. Even that has yet to be confirmed, though, and we wouldn’t put it past Rockstar to throw a curveball and announce a third playable character a la GTA 5 before this one’s out.
