Makina Watches and Ford Autohub have collaborated to release a limited-edition watch. The Ford x Makina timepiece is based on the watch company’s Uriel model and features a custom design and an automatic movement.

The watch has a multi-layered brass dial with Ford-blue accents on the hands, indices, and internal bezel. The 38mm case is made from 316L stainless steel and has a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The blue Ford and Makina logos can also be seen on the face, while blue lume helps tell time in the dark.

The case has a 44mm lug-to-lug width and 12.9mm thickness and is paired with a steel bracelet. The watch also has a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown, and 50 meters of water resistance.

“Why Makina? Because we see a powerful connection between engines and watch movements,” says Ford Autohub’s Richie Xavier. “An engine is the heart of a vehicle, while a movement is the engine of a timepiece. Both rely on precision engineering, intricate mechanics, and the perfect harmony of individual components working as one.”

“Makina means ‘machine,’ derived from the Spanish word máquina. It’s also what we call movements in our homeland, the Philippines. With a subtle lean toward form over function, our design language fuses industrial grit with quiet elegance,” says Makina Watches’ Danilo Villanueva.

The Ford x Makina timepiece can be ordered through Makina Watches’ website. It has a price of P29,500, with a limited-time discounted price of P28,000 until October 31. The estimated ship-out period is late Q4 of this year. What do you think of this Ford-inspired watch? Do you know anyone who’d like this for Christmas?
