After its initial preview in March, the Honor Robot Phone has officially been launched—and it’s looking to be the Chinese tech brand’s most groundbreaking smartphone to date. Featuring a fully motorized gimbal, AI-powered motion control, and professional-grade post-production tools, this new model could change the way content creators produce videos on the fly with just one device.
The headline feature is the ‘Titanium Agile Gimbal,’ which boasts a 4DoF mechanical system that’s 65% more compact than typical gimbals, while offering up to 200% greater structural strength. Mounted on the gimbal is a dual camera system, with the main unit being a 200MP main camera featuring a 1/1.28-inch sensor and f/1.6 aperture. This is paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 2.7x optical zoom, plus a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view.
The rear-camera setup folds back and tucks into a rear module with a sliding panel when not in use, and to prevent overheating during extended shoots, there’s a custom-built cooling system to dissipate heat. Once deployed—which may be done via the touchscreen or hands-free gesture controls—the gimbal and camera system supports usual gimbal movements like tilt lock, first-person view (FPV), FPV vertical, and AI SpinShot.

Honor takes things further with YOYO Robot Mode and YOYO Auto Execution. Powered by MagicOS, these allow the device to understand user intent and maximize features like AI Live-Tracking—which helps capture smooth and properly framed footage during vlogging, live streaming, and video calls—as well as to execute multi-step tasks across apps and system settings.
As the first product of Honor’s partnership with cinema camera maker ARRI, the Robot Phone incorporates ARRI Image Science elements and professional cinema workflow. ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks allow more scope for color correction and post-production processing, and other AI tools improve noise reduction and support up to 14 stops of dynamic range.
Beyond its imaging tech, the Honor Robot Phone delivers flagship performance through the Snapdragron 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. Its 7,060 silicon-carbon battery may be topped up at a rate of 120W via wired charging and 50W via wireless Honor SuperCharge. Finally, the 6.31-inch LTP OLED Honor AI Eye Comfort display gets NanoCrystal Shield protection, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness of 6,800 nits, and 4,320Hz dimming for a comfortable viewing experience.
The Honor Robot Phone is now available in China starting at CNY 9,999, which converts to around P90,850 as of this writing. There’s no confirmed Philippine launch for the model yet, but it was previewed to local press alongside the Honor Magic V6 foldable phone earlier this week.
