In the movie Rush, 1976 Formula 1 champion James Hunt of Britain is portrayed as a free spirit who loved partying, drinking and womanizing. Played by Chris Hemsworth (above), Hunt is shown in the film copulating with nurses and flight stewardesses in only their first meeting. His infidelity is also cited in the movie as one of the reasons first wife Suzy Miller left him for the actor Richard Burton.

But how much of a ladies\' man exactly was Hunt?

In a 2010 book called Shunt, published by The Myrtle Press, author Tom Rubython wrote that the racing driver must have slept with \"more than 5,000 (women) in his lifetime.\"

The British newspaper Daily Mail reprinted a portion of the book: \"He had a gigantic appetite for sex. Physically, he was unequaled even if, emotionally, he was, perhaps, an amateur. In Japan, his playground of choice was the Tokyo Hilton, where every morning British Airways stewardesses were dropped off at reception for a 24-hour stopover. Hunt unfailingly met them as they checked in and invited them to his suite for a party--they always said yes.\"

Do you believe the \"more-than-5,000\" statistic?
