Study reveals number of motorists who've had sex in a car

Plus the 10 best cars for doing the deed

As much as 54 percent of motorists admit to having had sex in a car, a study by online car retailer Autoquake.com said. The research involved 1,000 respondents from the United Kingdom.

Of the total number, 32 percent believe sex in a car is overrated while 22 percent say it's a "fantastic experience."

Here are more revealing figures about this sex-in-a-car study:

- Only 13 percent of respondents aged 18 to 24 years have enjoyed doing the deed in a car;
- 39 percent of those above 55 years old say it's fantastic and 11 percent believe it's wrong;
- 28 percent of men say sex in car is fantastic while 11 percent say it's wrong; and
- 18 percent of women feel sex is fantastic while 31 percent say it's wrong.

"We're surprised that so many of drivers have used their cars as mobile bedrooms, and impressed that the older generation are leading the way." Autoquake chief executive Dermot Halpin said in a statement.
