There’s just something cool about custom tricycles. No, not the public transport kind, but the retro-scooter-with-a-quirky-sidecar kind. You’ll often find builds like those featuring Vespas, Lambrettas, and even some Kymcos.
This one from Iron Macchina Customs—a custom bike builder based in Sta. Rosa, Laguna—is quite a thing of beauty. It’s a clean, pristine LML Star that’s been refaced to a Vespa PX150 with a bespoke sidecar custom-built for Foam Coffee.

Okay, so a few things here. The LML Star is actually a scooter based on the PX150 and was built by Lohia Machinery Limited. It’s said to have been used as a pizza delivery vehicle—perhaps by one of the famous chains here in the Philippines—before it was seemingly left somewhere to rot. It’s been restored to mint condition, with the original two-stroke engine still intact.
The scooter and the sidecar feature a very elegant white and gray colorway. The former gets a black seat with black accents on the floorboard, while the latter has a black leather bench, a windshield up front, and a steel rail at the rear.
As for Foam Coffee, it’s an up-and-coming cafe located in Baguio City. It now has two branches, the first of which already featured a custom Iron Macchina motorcycle. We reckon this custom trike might be for the newly opened second branch that’s also located in the city.
We’re not sure whether this tricycle will be used to deliver coffee or it’ll be displayed in one of the two branches. But in any case, the next time you find yourself in the City of Pines and you want to see this thing, you’ll know where to try and look for it first.
