We can probably agree that Ducati’s new adventure bike, the DesertX, is a bit of a head-turner. With its unique retro-modern styling, it clearly stands out.
It’s no slouch either. Powering it is a 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° Desmodromic valvetrain engine that generates 110hp and 92Nm. With its off-road-ready build and high-performance suspension, it will easily traverse tricky terrain better than a lot of adventure bikes out there.
But before every great bike gets to see the light of day, there’s a long, rigorous process that takes place. Coming up with a design, finalizing the mechanical aspects of the two-wheeler—manufacturers put in a lot of work. This is exactly what the Italian motorcycle marque wants to show us in its latest documentary.
