Some bikes are just begging to be modded. Take the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, for example. The bike’s impressive as it is, but the frame’s overall shape makes it a good blank canvass to start with.
In case you need help visualizing what a custom Continental can look like, just take a look at Bandit9’s latest creation called the Jaeger. The Saigon-based bike builder went to town on their RE, and the finished build is an absolute work of art.
Bandit9 really brought out the cafe racer side of the bike, giving it a sporty new look thanks to those surgical-grade steel front and rear cowls. A surgical steel tank has been placed up front to match the look, too.
Almost all the small bits here have been modded as well. The LED headlights, signal lamps, speedometer, front fender, handlebar, grips, and mirrors have all been replaced. The seat, exhaust, and swingarm extender have also been modified. Heck, even a custom gas tank cap was fitted in this thing.
No mechanical changes were done to the bike, though. That means it still packs a 658cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine with peak figures of 47hp and 52Nm. With this engine, the Jaeger can reach speeds of up to 165kph.
If you want to see more of the bike, you can check out the video below for some actual footage:
The Jaeger is now available for $28,000, or about P1.36 million, and Bandit9 also ships globally. The sad part is that only nine limited-edition units will be made. The bodykit itself is available for orders, though, so maybe that’s something you can look into instead if you really want a bike like this.
