In a break from fitting Mercs with 1,000hp versions of their twin-turbo V8s, storied German tuning house Brabus has revealed...an EV.
No, seriously. In fact, it has kinda revealed three EVs, because what you’re looking at above is the DAB 1α Brabus, the DAB 1α Brabus Urban E, and the DAB 1α Brabus Urban E First Edition. And breathe.
As you might have guessed, Brabus hasn’t developed its own electric bike from scratch. These things have come as part of a collab with French brand DAB Motors, with all the bikes built on the DAB 1α’s architecture. That means a 7.1kWh battery, a range of up to 149km (in ‘urban conditions’), a 31hp motor, and a top speed that’s electronically limited to 120kph.

Well, those are the headline stats for the entry-level DAB 1α Brabus with its upright mirrors, black bodywork, and carbon side ducts/front fender. That costs €16,590 (around P1.2 million before taxes). The Urban E gets a bit more pep, with an upgraded inverter and special motor mapping upping the power output to 36hp, while torque jumps from 394Nm to 474Nm.
Brabus also says of this bike that “every millimeter has been meticulously ‘Brabusized.’” That apparently means carbon cooling ducts, rear winglets, and wheel covers. On the standard version, it also means different drive modes (including one for overtaking that’s called ‘Nitrous Boost’), more streamlined mirrors, lots of LED lighting, and a red leather seat for a total cost of €20,800 (around P1.5 million before taxes).
Want to spend a whole lot more? The First Editions will set you back €32,500 (approximately P2.3 million), and while four color-drenched versions are available, just 10 of each will ever be built.
