CFMoto has made headlines with its upcoming superbike, the V4 SR-RR. There’s still a ways to go before it hits production, but it looks like more details on it have just surfaced.
According to the Chinese manufacturer, “industry chatter suggests” that the CFMoto V4 SR-RR could be priced at around £20,000 to £27,000 in the UK (around P1.65 to P2.23 million). That would probably depend on the spec, too, assuming there’ll be different variants available.
A little too much, eh? Well, that just puts the V4 SR-RR right around the price ranges of the Ducati Panigale V4 and BMW M1000-RR, two superbikes that the CFMoto will be going up against.

Now, what does that mean for our market? Well, we can assume there’ll be a bigger price gap between the Chinese superbike and its European rivals. The former will not be subject to tariffs here, while the latter will be.
Also, knowing CFMoto, the brand has often come up with bikes that, pound for pound, offer more than what the competition brings to the table. So if the V4 SR-RR will end up similarly priced to its European counterparts in the UK, then it should promise better value for money than what the projected price tags suggest.
To the unfamiliar, the CFMoto V4 SR-RR will be the brand’s first-ever V4-powered motorcycle. The initial numbers to come out of the prototype are quite impressive—it previously hit a top speed of 315.82kph. It achieved that with a 997cc V4 engine that churns out 212hp. Essentially a liter bike, the V4 SR-RR also weighs 180kg when dry.
It’s clear that the Philippines is an important market for CFMoto, so we’re expecting this upcoming superbike to eventually make its way to our shores in the future. Wouldn’t that be something?
