Ducati has been killing it in the world of motorsports. For two years in a row, it’s won both MotoGP and the Superbike World Championship. Now, how has this success translated to its road-going models? Well, the Borgo Panigale brand has just unveiled the new Panigale V4 at the 2024 World Ducati Week—the bike itself can answer that question for you.
This new superbike has minimal aesthetic changes. Apart from the winglets now being red instead of black to match the body color, the fairings underneath now feature different cuts and aero bits. There are, however, important design tweaks that affect the overall ergonomics of the superbike.
The footpegs have supposedly been adjusted by 10mm to allow the rider to position his legs more inward. This increases ground clearance and improves aerodynamic penetration. The rear of the tank, the side covers, and the shape of the seat have also been optimized to provide better support during braking and cornering without limiting body movements in other phases.

The new Ducati Panigale V4 is also more powerful and lighter than its predecessor, meaning it now has a better power-to-weight ratio. It weighs 187kg despite the host of mechanical upgrades it’s received, making it two kilos less than the outgoing model. Its engine is now also Euro 5+ compliant yet puts out 0.5hp more.
So about that engine, let’s not get too technical. The 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine can now generate a whopping 216hp at 13,500rpm and 120.62Nm of torque at 11,250rpm (note that the figures are lower in the US). With the full Akrapovic exhaust, those figures go up to 228hp and 127.8Nm.
The superbike has also been equipped with Brembo Hypure front brake calipers—a first in the motorcycle industry. It also gets the Race eCBS system. To keep it simple, this Bosch-developed technology helps the rider corner faster and brake more efficiently as needed.
There’s also a V4S version available, but at its core is the same powertrain propelling the standard V4. This new bike from Ducati will hit dealerships in Europe in September 2024—would you like to see this eventually land in the Philippines, too?
