Dedication, synergy, focus, and passion to serve. According to Regan Rex King, president and CEO of Harley-Davidson of Cebu, these are the key ingredients that helped them win the 2019 Dealer of the Year award in the Harley-Davidson Asian Emerging Markets (AEM). This recognition was officially announced on May 13, 2020.
The award should have been handed personally to King’s team earlier at the brand's annual Dealer Principal Meeting, which was postponed due to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis. Instead, King learned of the award through a letter from Sajeev Rajasekharan, managing director of Harley-Davidson AEM & India. The recipient of the Dealer of the Year award is chosen based on the following criteria: sales growth performance, innovative marketing initiatives, strong customer satisfaction, retail environment, and service.
“We have come far together these past few years and this award is the culmination of all the hard work we have put in. Our focus remains the same with one common goal: To give that great and awesome riding experience that is only possible with the iconic brand that is Harley-Davidson,” says King.
“We are very proud to carry the Philippine flag in gaining global recognition. We are also proud of putting our fellow Philippine Harley-Davidson dealers in the global map, and being at par with other Harley-Davidson dealerships in the Asia Emerging Market.”
King also gave credit to the Harley-Owners Group in the Visayas region, which has been instrumental in promoting the brand through numerous activities like regular group rides—among those activities was the staging of the Harley-Davidson Days in November 2019.
Currently, there are five Harley-Davidson dealerships in the Philippines: Cebu, Davao (also owned by King), Cavite, Manila (two showrooms run by Auto Nation Group), and Pampanga (Laus Group). HD of Cebu, located in Mandaue City, began operations in November 2015.
This award definitely puts Harley-Davidson of Cebu on the world map. Congratulations!
