Kymco Philippines has announced a whopping P50,000 discount for the 2020 AK 550 in the Pearly White color, previously exclusive to the Macau market. The original SRP of the AK 550 was P599,000, and with the P50,000 price drop, this makes this Taiwan-made scooter cheaper by P100,000 vs. its nemesis, the Yamaha T-Max 550 that sells at P649,000.
The AK 550 tourer is packed with high-tech features. Among them are the full LED lighting, tire pressure monitor, keyless ignition, and an adjustable windscreen. It is powered by a Euro 4-compliant 550cc, liquid-cooled, two-cylinder engine that spurs 53hp.
It offers two riding modes: Power and Rain. Another big plus for Kymco’s super scoot is the dual-disc Brembo brakes in front and single disc at the rear matched with Bosch ABS.
It has a large, deep under-seat compartment that can accommodate a full-face helmet.
Kymco Philippines’s big discount promo for the AK 550 comes with free original accessories that include a rear carrier, front pedal (footrest), middle pedal, brake lever kit, balance bar end, and anodized oil dipstick.
