Whenever a manufacturer—whether car or motorcycle—launches an extremely limited edition version of any model in its lineup, we rarely have hopes of ever seeing at least one of those in our market. Especially if only 500 of that model were ever made across the globe.
That’s why when Motostrada announced the arrival of the ultra-limited-edition MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, it was a surprise. There was one unit that made its way to the Philippines over the weekend, and it carried a P4.5 million price tag. The wildest part? We say ‘carried’ with a past tense, because the bike was sold even before the launch event started.

Whether or not it’s worth all that is probably up to the owners, but what’s undeniable here is that the bike looks absolutely gorgeous. MV Agusta builds motorcycles as pieces of art, and this Superveloce might be one of the most beautiful two-wheelers the Italian brand has built to date.

The round headlight is said to be a reference to MV Agusta’s past. The winglets improve riding dynamics while adding sportiness to the look. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer claims extensive testing showed the bike had “absolute directional precision and stability” at high speeds, “without sacrificing maneuverability and agility in different riding positions.”
The bike also has 41 different components made of carbon fiber, including the chain guard and the full fairings. MV Agusta has used a combination of forged and laminated materials not just for specific usage but to add variety in aesthetics.

This Superveloce also sports a leather belt on the tank, starting from the laser-engraved plate at the base towards the side of the handlebar where you’ll find the 1000 Serie Oro logo with the unit number. By the way, this is bike number 77 of 500.
As you move further towards the back, you’ll see the black seat stitched in black Alcantara and red leather to match the bike’s color. The rear seat has been taken out and replaced with a beautiful seat cowl. MV Agusta has also removed the rear foot pegs, because you’re most likely not going to ride with a pillion on this thing. That is, if you’re even going to ride this out often.

Below the saddle, you’ll spot the menacing titanium quad pipes flanking the rear taillight. Those are Akrapovic tips that were built specifically for this bike. While we won’t be able to demo it in this article, we’ll at least tell you that the cold start is just... *chef’s kiss.*
Sending the eargasmic notes through the exhaust is a 998cc liquid- and oil-cooled, four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 208hp at 13,000rpm and 116.5Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. So yes, that powertrain alone indicates that this is, in fact, a screamer. There’s disengageable traction control available with eight levels of intervention, mainly for use in the rain, on the road, or on track. It comes with disengageable front-lift control to optimize wheelies, and it works hand-in-hand with the available launch control for improved performance.
The bike also comes with four riding modes, the last one being custom, which allows the rider to control various settings like throttle sensitivity, engine torque, and engine response. There’s also the MV EAS 4.0 (Electronically Assisted Shift Up&Down) gearbox that allows upshifting or downshifting even with an open throttle.

Double floating Brembo discs up front and a rear single steel Brembo disc at the back handle stopping power, along with a Continental MK100 ABS with rear-wheel lift-up mitigation and cornering function. It comes with front and rear Ohlins suspension, and sits on beautiful star-shaped 17-inch wheels inspired by the legendary F4 650 Serie Oro. There’s a single swingarm at the back, so there’s an unobstructed view of the rear wheel hub with the MV logo. The attention to even the most minute details is impeccable here—MV Agusta used titanium fasteners for the hubs, and they’re finished in Ago Silver, Pearl Shock Red, and Gold Ciclista as a tribute to the brand’s rich history.

Other amenities in this loaded bike include the 5.5-inch TFT color display that enables connection through the MV Ride app. It can provide corner-by-corner navigation and record trips.
Each unit of this limited-edition model comes with a dedicated kit, which is the box pictured here. It comes with the passenger seat and footpegs, the carbon passenger heel guards, the CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, and the height adjustment plates for the swingarm pin. Every kit also has a certificate of authenticity with the origin of the motorcycle, and it’s numbered accordingly to match the markings on the bike. There’s a dedicated motorcycle cover as well because let’s face it—you’re probably not going to ride this daily if you bought one.
Again, only one unit has arrived, and it’s already been brought home by the avid collector who now owns it. But if you’re interested in getting one, you can reach out to Motostrada for that. Anyway, to see more of this beautiful work of art, we’ll just leave you with more photos of it below. Scroll on and enjoy.
