The Royal Enfield brand has been reinvigorated in the Philippines under Motociclista Scatola (MSI), and it continues to bring in more new models to our market. The latest addition to the growing lineup is the bike you see here—the new Shotgun 650.
This is the newest member of Royal Enfield’s 650-twin family and is positioned right between the Super Meteor 650 cruiser and the Interceptor 650 roadster. And rightfully so, as it does feel like it sits perfectly in the middle—but we’ll talk more about that in our first impressions article.

In terms of design, it’s just what you’d expect from an RE bike. It’s got that classic look, with a round headlight up front that reminds me a bit of the Scram 411. The large tank and the wide seat are very Super Meteor-ish, but the handlebar and mid-footpeg position lean more towards the Interceptor.
Of course, powering the Shotgun is a familiar 648cc air- and oil-cooled parallel-twin that puts out 46.4hp at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm. This is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and is supposedly capable of doing 22km/L.

In terms of dimensions, the Shotgun 650 measures 2,170mm long, 820mm wide, and 1,105mm tall. It has a 1,465mm wheelbase, 140mm of ground clearance, and a 795mm seat height. Curb weight is listed at 240kg. It also has a 13.8-liter fuel tank. Stopping power is handled by a single 320mm disc up front and a 300mm disc at the back, and it gets dual-channel ABS.
As far as prices go, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 starts at P429,000, and you’ll have to pay a slight premium for the premium colorways. You can check out the price list below.
